HILLSIGN: BOOK | BODY | MAP is an idiosyncratic, quasi-scientific investigation of the interstices between ethereal spaces and the linear, discrete world of the record. The book, the body, and the map are viewed as interrelated/interchangeable concepts that participate in the construction of internal and intuitive landscapes (the hillsign). A combination of drawn and painted elements present a curious space that reinforces the object hood and two-dimensionality of the support. Diagrammatic and potentially didactic, the work instead dissolves into a more poetic space.
